Multiple OS
Find out which Operating Systems you may run on your server.
An Operating System is the fundamental software that controls a computer. It handles how your hardware operates, the communication with peripheral devices including a monitor, a printer or a keyboard, the allocation of memory between all the applications, plus the prioritization of applications if multiple ones run concurrently. Each program which is installed on a notebook or a desktop works by sending requests to the OS for various services via an application program interface (API). The communication with the OS is possible through a Graphical User Interface (GUI) or a command line. In the hosting field, the OS is what commands a web hosting server and any software installed on it, which includes not only website scripts, but also any other application for instance a VOIP or a game server. When there are virtual machines created, they use a guest OS that runs on the server host OS.

Multiple OS in VPS Servers
We provide as many as three different Linux distributions for the Operating System of our
VPS servers - Debian, CentOS and Ubuntu. These are some of the safest and the most reliable OSs you can get and we offer all three of them instead of just one since we realize that you may want to set up some software which has specific requirements with regards to the Operating System it'll run on. The latter is due to the fact that each of the three Operating Systems has a vast support community behind it and there are different software packages you could install on the web hosting server. Your OS selection will also determine what hosting Control Panel can be set up on the VPS if you want to use one and for this reason we offer several Control Panels too. Should you decide that you want some other OS, our tech support can quickly wipe the current one and install the one that you need. In addition, we offer an optional service to have the OS on your VPS updated weekly.

Multiple OS in Dedicated Servers
The
dedicated server packages that we offer come with as many as three different Operating Systems to pick from. They are all Linux release - Ubuntu, CentOS and Debian, and not only do they have no license taxes, but they’re also considered to be among the most dependable and safe OSs. We supply three different ones for the reason that each of them is supported by a different community. The packages which you can add on your web server are different and this may matter in case you need to install some piece of software with particular requirements regarding the hosting environment. In this light, the web hosting Control Panel that you can select for the dedicated server is also determined by the Operating System that you will pick. You can pick any of the three Operating Systems throughout the order process, yet if needed, we can always set up the server once again with an alternative one upon your request. As an optional service that you could add to the plan any time, we can update the OS on a regular basis so as to keep it as secure as possible.
