Access Log Manager
What's the objective of the Access Log Manager? What type of information will it supply you with?
An access log features a record of all the files that have been requested by the visitors while exploring your Internet site. The list is comprehensive, so if you have a page with 2 embedded images, for example, all of the three files shall be in the log, not only the page. An access log usually includes the date, the OS, the web browser and the IP address for every file in human-readable form, so you can get an idea about the most well liked files on your site. The log, that's also typically called "raw data", is an addition to the web stats you commonly get with a hosting account, not an alternative. An illustration why you may need such a log is if you want to use some software on your computer to prepare a report about the website’s performance, but you don't want to use the standard graphs and tables that come with the server-generated site stats.

Access Log Manager in Cloud Hosting
Our custom Hepsia CP has a section dedicated to various logs and the access logs are one of them. When you sign in to your
cloud hosting account and navigate to this section, you'll find a list of all the domain names and subdomains you have. All it takes to enable the generation of access logs is to click on a button that'll be available next to every single domain/subdomain. In case the option is active, you will see a download link together with the file size so far, so you'll be able to save the file to your laptop or computer and examine it or process it with some application. Enabling or disabling the logs becomes effective instantly, so if you no longer need one, you could stop it with only a click from the exact same section of the CP. You will still have the ability to access the already generated content by simply clicking the Download link.

Access Log Manager in Semi-dedicated Servers
Our state-of-the-art web hosting platform shall create access logs for every single site hosted in a
semi-dedicated server account, provided that this feature is activated. All domain names and subdomains that you have shall be listed inside the Access/Error Logs section of the Hepsia CP, which we supply with all the accounts, so if you would like our system to start generating logs for each of them, you should just click on the small button on the right side of the respective domain/subdomain and change the default Off option to On. You can stop this feature whenever you want by following the same steps. You'll find a Download link for each and every log inside the very same section of the Control Panel, so you could save the content generated by our system in .txt format with just a click. An existing log file can be downloaded even after the feature has been deactivated, so you will still be able to see the data that's already been generated.
